Double Peek-a-Boo Birthday Card

I first saw this card on Elisa's blog and she linked to directions here.  Isn't this a striking design?  It's like so many 3-D cards that once you make one, it will be pretty easy to make another.

Chalkboard Birthday Card

I have been noticing a lot of blackboard cards lately.  So it was time to try one for myself.  Stamp your image on black card stock with VersaMark, and then emboss it with white embossing powder.  Rub the entire piece of card stock with craft white ink using a sponge.  To create the chalkboard look, you don't want the white to be completely even.  I used the white watercolor pencil to create the lines on the outside edges.

More Amore Quick Valentine

The More Amore Designer Series Paper has two specialty pages of these laser cut hearts.  My habit is to save these sorts of pages for something special, and I tend to hold on to them too long.  But this time I decided to open my package and pull them out first.  It takes a little patients to cut the hearts apart, but with careful cutting, they can all be used.  I mounted it on this square tulip frame to make a cute little card. Get Well Tissue Holder

I planned to do a tissue holder sometime this cold and flu season with my stamp club.  So when I came across this idea on Pinterest, the search was over.  Babs has a link on her blog to You Tube directions by Dee.  If you line it up carefully when putting together, it will fold down and store flat and could fit in a care package.

Two Tags Valentine Treat Holder

 

This cute Two Tags die Valentine treat holder was the perfect way for me to try out two new products from the Spring Catalog.  The Delicate Details Lace Tape from page 3 was really easy to work with.  I started at the back corner and before I pressed it down firmly, I was able to position it so that the ends met up perfectly.  Then I added a Designer Builder Brad from page 12 to finish it off.  The handle of the basket even hides the prongs of the brad.  My friend, Julie Davison, has a great tutorial on her blog.

Cross My Heart Birthday Card

Now that the holidays are over, I am having some fun with my new stamps.  This set, Cross My Heart, is from the new spring catalog, and it works well to make a simple quick card.

Snowflake Mittens

I was so excited to make these gloves using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die from the holiday catalog.  My friend, Malissa Beer, made a pair several years ago with a snowflake die from the Stampin' Up catalog.  So when I saw this new die, I knew I wanted to make a few pairs.

Secret Garden

This beautiful stamp set is from the new Occasions Catalog that is starting today, January 3, and running through May 31.  It is called Secret Garden and has a coordinating framelit die set.  And like the last catalog, Stampin' Up! offers the two together in a bundle at a 15% savings.  The border was created with one of my Delicate Designs Embossing Folders, and  I used a sympathy greeting but feel like this card can be used for most any occasion.  If you are coming to my stamp-a-stack tomorrow night, we will be making this card along with two other all occasion cards.
