Black Magic Technique Thinking of You

I had fun with this easy technique.  Stamp your image with Whisper White ink, let it dry and color it (right over the dried white ink) with colored pencils.  It's that easy.  I did get a little carried away and colored the thinking of you greeting, and if I did this card again, I would probably leave that white.

I also got to use my new magnetic platform (page 184 in the catalog), and it worked great with my new Deco Labels Collection framelits!

Rainbow Scrapbook Layout

Here's Rae Anne's version of the scrapbook layout I posted Monday.  Hers is more like the original inspiration with the rainbow colors.  But you'll notice she put her own "twist" on the layout by reversing direction on one side.

Around the World Scrapbook Pages

I was inspired to design these scrapbook pages after seeing this layout.  I loved the rainbow Angela created with her page, but I didn't know that a rainbow was the look I needed for my pictures so I switched it up a little with the new I Am Me Designer Series Paper.  I thought these pages could be the introduction pages to my vacation album.  The new Around the World stamp set added the perfect accents to the title.

Hydrangea Celebrate Card

Stampin' Up is celebrating 25 years of stamping this year.  As a part of that 25 years celebration, they are introducing a Best of 25 Years stamp set each month.  They are bringing back popular stamps from the past by combining one stamp from several different stamp sets to create a new collection.  There is also a never before seen image included in the set, and they are available for purchase until March 31, 2014!   This hydrangea stamp came from March's Best of 25 Years - Flowers set.  It was a hostess set a few years ago, and people were just as excited to see it this month as they were when it was first out.  We used the old stamp for this card because the new stamp is smaller.

Delicate Doilies Catalog Case

In the time between the new catalog coming out and my rather large order arriving at my door, I wanted to work with some new products.  Because I took advantage of the demonstrator pre-order of select products, I had some new goodies to play with. I CASED this card (sort of) from the catalog on page 123.  I changed the colors to use new In Colors and I left off the buttons.  My buttons have arrived now, but I decided I liked the card just as it is.   Aren't those In Colors great together?

Mosaic Madness Thinking of You

Mosaic Madness really make a nice looking card, and with the right color choices it can be feminine or masculine.  I went with manly colors for this one at a recent stamp-a-stack.  It made a great Father's Day, manly birthday, sympathy and get well card.

Tag a Bag Gift Box

Stampin' Up! has these great new Tag a Bag Gift Boxes in the catalog on page 158.  They are an easy way to dress up a small little gift or treat.  I bought the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit which made this so quick to assemble.  I added the birthday stamp and a flower to the tag, put my gift inside, and was ready to give it away.

Quick Thank You

I just recently added this Embellished Events stamp set to my collection.  What took me so long?  It's such a great set and so useful for so many occasions.  We did this little 3 x 3 thank you card at Kim's party.  The ladies could choose to make a thank you, thinking of you, congratulations, or a celebrate card.

Mosaic Madness

Here's one of the projects we did at Kim's party featuring the new Mosaic Madness stamp set.  We also used the Modern Mosaic embossing folder and the Mosaic punch that she likes so much.  I'm finding she isn't the only one!

Quartrefancy Notebook Hostess Gift

I had such a fun time with Kim and her friends at her stamping party last night.  She told me she loves this Quartrefancy Specialty paper and the coordinating embossing folder and stamp set.  I was able to work all three of them into one of our projects, but I thought it would be perfect for the hostess gift notebook.  She also loves the new 2013 - 2015 In Colors so I was able to use the Strawberry Slush paper and ribbon.  Now she can make her wish lists, grocery lists etc. in Stampin' Up! style.

Paw Print Thank You Note

I needed to make a few thank you notes at the end of the school year.  This was quick and easy and something I think the kids would like to get in the mail.

Fun Fold Birthday Card

This is a pretty simple card, but when folded shut it looks a bit more complicated.  This was a card demonstrated at the Stampin' Up regional I attended.
  • Start with 12” x 5 ½” piece of DSP.
  • Score at 2, 4, 8 and 10.
  • Mark at 2 ¾” on each side with a pencil.
  • Cut from top (at 4 and 8 score marks) diagonally down to pencil mark on each side.
  • Flip over scrap pieces and attach them on the front of the card.

Never-ending Card

A few years ago I did a never-ending card with my stamp club.  It went down in stamp club history as truly never-ending, and it was not a very popular card.  Those original members still laugh about it.  Recently I saw a You Tube video by Stampin' Up on Pinterest which inspired me to try it again.  I'm happy to report it went very well this time around!  With a couple of score lines and a couple of cuts, you have all of the parts you need.  The secret to making this card work is putting adhesive in the 4 corners.  Then you fold the center up, the sides in, the top and bottom back, the sides out, and with one more fold, you are back to where you started.  Really a fun card to play with!
