Honolulu Scrapbook Layout

Although I'm very behind on my scrapbooking, I decided for this round of scrapbook club I would work on a recent vacation.  This is my second page from my July vacation to Hawaii. It's kind of fun to work on something that's a pretty recent memory!  It also serves as motivation to keep on going!

Venice Scrapbook

I found a great Creative Keepsakes layout to use for my last two Venice pages.  I don't do a lot of journaling normally but I wanted to record a few of the highlights of the day, and this layout was perfect!

We'll be doing these pages Tuesday night in scrapbook club if you'd like to join us!

Scrapbook Layout Repost

As I was going through my already scrapbooked pages a few days ago, this was one of my favorites that I decided to repost.  This was a market in Barcelona and I knew those colors would make a beautiful scrapbook page the minute I saw them.  We were there one day ahead of a cruise so we didn't buy much, but it was fun to look around.  It's really a simple layout and one that I think I will use again.

Banner Blast Food and Wine Festival

Last fall I went to visit a friend in Florida, and by coincidence I flew into Orlando on the last weekend of the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.  We decided to check it out, and I am so glad we did.  The weather was perfect and we spent the day eating and drinking our way around the world and having a great time.  In addition to the countries you can normally wander in and out of, they had kiosks set up and we had food and drink choices from 30 different countries. I ate way too much, but I must say everything was delicious, and I plan to go again someday!

I knew I was going to use the Sale-a-bration Banner Blast stamp set for a scrapbook layout, but these colors were unexpected.  I made a card with them and loved the end result so I decided to make it into a 2 page 12 x 12 layout.  They were perfect for the coloring on the sign and matched the festiveness of the day.

Scrapbooking the Zoo

I just love Pinterest, and it's always fun to see that something from my blog has been pinned by someone else.  I am re-sharing this post because it has been one of my most popular.  My creative friend, Rae Anne, made it at one of our scrapbook clubs.  Click here for more details.

Rainbow Scrapbook Layout

Here's Rae Anne's version of the scrapbook layout I posted Monday.  Hers is more like the original inspiration with the rainbow colors.  But you'll notice she put her own "twist" on the layout by reversing direction on one side.

Around the World Scrapbook Pages

I was inspired to design these scrapbook pages after seeing this layout.  I loved the rainbow Angela created with her page, but I didn't know that a rainbow was the look I needed for my pictures so I switched it up a little with the new I Am Me Designer Series Paper.  I thought these pages could be the introduction pages to my vacation album.  The new Around the World stamp set added the perfect accents to the title.

Sunshine & Sprinkles Scrapbook Layout

I was inspired by this scrapbook layout, and because I tend to keep my pages pretty simple, this one was fun for me because I have pennants, buttons and lots of colors.  I need pictures to get the full feel of a layout sometimes.  So for the time being, I have some leftover Epcot pictures marking the place of my future Easter pictures.

Colorful Scrapbooking

As I was thinking about the layout for Tuesday's scrapbook club, I had the idea to make the title multicolored.  So then when I was looking at my pictures, I thought these market pictures would be perfect.  The bright colors also worked for "regular" pictures too!

Build-a-Bear Scrapbook Page

A couple of weeks ago we did this layout in scrapbook club.  I thought I would share Becky's take on that same layout.  She rotated the page to accommodate her pictures and went with a bright, bold color combination to go with her nephew's first visit to Build-a-Bear.

Scrapbook Layout for Club Tonight

Here's tonight's layout for Scrapbook Club.  I had a request for a layout that would feature several pictures of the same size.  So I went with the six along the bottom and then stuck in a few more that I wanted to include on this page.  I left an area for journaling so I need to get to it soon while the details of this church are still in my mind.  What an incredible place!

Pennant Parade Scrapbook Layout

My scrapbook club ladies had a specific request last month.  So here is my layout for Tuesday featuring pennants.  I do believe most layouts will work for most pictures, and my scrapbook club is proof.  I can do a layout of a vacation as the sample, and when the night is over, we all have used the same layout for pictures of babies, racing, concerts, high school sports and family activities. However when I sat down to do my layout for this month, the pictures I had printed are of an enormous, elaborate church in Barcelona.  I didn't really think that would be the most appropriate use of pennants.  So I pulled some old extras from a past vacation to do a sample, and then I will use this layout again for more recent vacation pictures.

August Scrapbook Layout

This month's scrapbook layout was inspired by a layout I saw on Pinterest (scrapbooking.about.com).  It was a nice way to display a lot of picture, yet it will allow my scrapbook ladies some flexibility to crop their pictures their own way.  I try to create layouts for scrapbook club that hold a number of pictures, and on this one, there is a small white box for journaling or even another picture.

For the buttons, I cut a thin piece of coordinating card stock to be the thread in the center of the buttons.

Scrapbook Club July Layout

As I mentioned earlier in the month, my next several scrapbook layouts for club just might be from my cruise.  So here is page 1 and 2 of what is sure to be a big section of my scrapbook if not a scrapbook of its own.  I really didn't know where to start so I did an overview page with the dates of my trip and some highlight photos.  Luckily the ladies that come to club like to get a lot pictures on their pages so I can get away with a 10 picture layout.

Betsy's Blossoms Scrapbook Page for Tonight

This layout was designed with a January 2011 C K Sketch as my inspiration.  I liked this layout because it allowed for fairly big pictures and allowed for several on the page.  You might be wondering about flowers and NYC pictures together - - and the clever title.  Those pictures are just barely tacked down and the letters are attached to the photos. So after my vacation, they are coming out and all I have to do is drop in some new pictures and voila - two pages done!  But it was just too hard to visualize without some pictures so I pulled out some extra, unused photos from a trip taken back in the days of developing film.  I knew I needed to keep them for some reason ;-)

May Scrapbook Layout

I took my motivation for this from a page layout on Savy Sketches that I saw on Pinterest.  Thanks Michelle for pinning it!  The original layout is a single page so I continued onto the right page with more polka dots and Designer Series Paper.  I am planning ahead for a future vacation with this layout so that I can come home and drop my photos in and be done!

Summer Smooches Scrapbook Layout

For this week in scrapbook club, I planned a layout that can be changed to meet the needs of the ladies in the club.  Not everyone has a lot of vertical or horizontal pictures.  So I took my inspiration from a Got Sketch? sketch.  It was a single page layout, and I just rotated the page to make room for both horizontal and vertical pictures.  We are using the new Summer Smooches Designer Series paper which will give everyone a lot of choices.  You can shop my online store for your own Summer Smooches DSP and other great products in that suite before then end of April.  If you miss it, you will have to wait until the new catalog comes out June 1.
