Onesies

I had a friend request some animal themed onesies, so I used a combination of retired and current stamp sets to match the animals in the nursery.  With transfer paper and an iron, it is a quick little project.

Onesie Baby Card

I went to visit my friend, Rae Anne, who just had a sweet little baby boy.  This was the card I took with my gift.  Her baby shower and thank yous used Fox and Friends so it was only fitting I used a critter from that set for her card.  To make a onesie card, fold your cardstock long ways, freehand a "7" on both sides (or create a pattern) punch a hole at the neck and for the legs with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  Trim a bit at the leg holes with your scissors and finish it off with a bit of a scallop circle.  I scored the bottom and added two eyelets using my Crop-a-dile to make it more "realistic".

Baby Gift Stampin' Up! Style

My friend and fellow stamper, Rae Anne, is expecting a baby in January.  So what better way to celebrate than with Stampin' Up!?  Her sister, Becky and friend, Deana, did an awesome job with the invitations, favors, and table decorations using the Fox and Friends stamp set.  So when I happened across this outfit - I had to buy it since it fit the theme perfectly!  I created the gift bag with Fox and Friends and then made a gift card holder for some Decor Elements money.  I knew Rae Anne was planning to do some decorating in the baby's room, and I wanted to help her get started.  When she posts her finished projects on her blog, I will let you know.  In the meantime, here are some of the party decorations Becky and Deana did.

Stamp-a-Stack Sneak Peek

This is just one of three different baby cards we will be doing Friday night at my Stamp-a-Stack using Fox & Friends. We are doing this green one, but also a baby boy blue and baby girl lavender card. It was a great chance for me to use my Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The nice thing about that is that all 3 pieces of cardstock can go through the Big Shot at one time! Teeny Tiny Wishes has this little greeting to finish the card off.

Supplies: Fox & Friends, Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, Whisper White, Certainly Celery cardstock, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Big shot, Scallop Circle, 1 3/8 circle punches

They're Here!

Sale-A-Bration is such a highly anticipated time of year for stampers. Well this year it is better than ever! It starts today, January 5, and lasts until March 31. Each and every $50 you purchase allows you to choose a free product. This year's catalog features 4 stamps sets (available in wood or clear mount), a Designer Series Paper Pad and a Scallop Trim Border punch. And as if that isn't enough, there are even more free options. The entire back page of the catalog lists sets from the regular Idea Book & Catalog that you can choose from too. So that means you can't possibly run out of options for freebies!

The Occasions Mini Catalog is out today too. Almost too much excitement in one day, huh? It runs through April 30 and it is full of great new products including the new clear mount stamps and new punch style.
The card I did features Fox & Friends stamp set from the mini catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Scallop Trim Border. And here are all of the new products I used:
The clear mount stamp sets store in a case about the size of a DVD with this great index on the front (and on the spine too):

Here is what you see when you open your case:

This is the back of the case which allows another quick view of all of your images:

And here is the fun part.  You simply select the acrylic block size you like and press the stamp on it.  One nice feature of this particular stamp set is the stamps are all about the same size and you can use the same acrylic block:

This is what you see through the block when you stamp:

There are optional stickers that you can apply to the foam to help with placement when stamping.  Some precise stamping may still require the Stamp-a-ma-jig.

And here's a peek at the new punch style.  They store flat, which is a real help to those of us who have a lot of stamping supplies *wink*.

Supplies:  Fox & Friends and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets, Scallop Border, Word Window and 1 1/4"Punch, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, Certainly Celery and Whisper White cardstock, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue, Creamy Caramel ink.
