Butterfly Thinking of You
I have always found black and white cards to be dramatic, but when asked if I could make this into a baby card, I made one in blue, yellow and pink too. With the Elegant Butterfly punch that coordinates with the new Papillon Potpourri butterfly set and the new Fancy Fan embossing folder, this card went together quickly. The white craft ink takes a couple minutes to dry so stamp first, then make the butterflies and then you are ready to run it through the Big Shot.

Sock Monkey Baby Card
My good friend, Deana, just had a baby, so I had to pull out a retired stamp set to make a card. Deana has always loved this Sock Monkey, and it's become quite a joke in our stamping circle so it seems only fitting I use it for her card. I also pulled out some scraps of old blue DSP. I stamped the monkey on Bashful Blue and on the DSP, and then I mounted the small cutout bits onto the whole piece of Bashful Blue. I also bought a cute little bib with sock monkeys all over it as part of her gift so the card was a must! Congratulations Deana and Jeremy! To Order Stampin' Up! Products On-Line 24/7, CLICK HERE! Babies, Babies, Babies
It's funny that although I know the baby is coming and even an arrival date, I often am scrambling for a baby card when the time comes. So as a part of my stamp-a-stacks, I try to include baby cards at least once a year. But how do you know what to make? Well we take care of that and make one of each!

Pink Onesies Baby Card
A friend of mine just had her third baby girl so I thought this would make a cute card for the family. It uses the Level 1 hostess set, A Slice of Life, from the occasions mini catalog. It also uses the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which is just perfect for a simple card like this one. Check back, we will be using this same stamp and embossing folder for baby cards this weekend at my stamp-a-stacks. Monday, January 17, 2011
Onesie Baby Card
I went to visit my friend, Rae Anne, who just had a sweet little baby boy. This was the card I took with my gift. Her baby shower and thank yous used Fox and Friends so it was only fitting I used a critter from that set for her card. To make a onesie card, fold your cardstock long ways, freehand a "7" on both sides (or create a pattern) punch a hole at the neck and for the legs with the 1 3/8" circle punch. Trim a bit at the leg holes with your scissors and finish it off with a bit of a scallop circle. I scored the bottom and added two eyelets using my Crop-a-dile to make it more "realistic".
