Christmas Shaker

I love using the treat cups with the mica flakes from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  And this is a card version of a project I saw at convention this summer.  They actually put the treat cup on a stick and made a sucker, but we went ahead and made this into a card for stamp club.  The outline came from the Perfect Pennant die, and it's just the perfect size.  And the tree was made with the Pennant Parade stamp set and trimmed down to make the tiny tree.  A little Dazzling Details on the snow and it's ready to go!

Valentine Diorama Card

I first made one of these "diorama" cards at my friend's (Julie Davison) Stampin' Up! meeting, and it has only taken me a couple of years to make another one.  In fact, I have made a few - you may remember my posting a similar card a couple of months ago for Rae Anne's baby shower.  This particular card was for stamp club this month, and I did a similar version for a Valentine swap that I was in with other demonstrators. 

Start with an 8 x 8 square of cardstock. Here's the card showing the back side.

Apply some adhesive in the corner...

**I was rereading my finished post and realized I didn't take a picture of the card after putting the two pieces together....and I was so pleased with myself that I took all of these pictures.  Oops!  So for now, I will tell you that piece with the two hearts pulls over and sticks to the Sticky Strip at the top which allows the card to close.  But when it is open, it is a 3 sided card and forms a "corner".  **

Flip it over and add the ribbon...

And voila!

Fishy Treat Cups

Think you've done it all with the treat cups? Have you tried water? That's right. Water! A few months ago Leslie demonstrated this at our Spring into Stamping meeting (she credited Vanessa Webb with the idea).
I added a small amount of Dazzling Diamonds and filled the treat cup nearly to the top. I think I will advise the stamp club ladies to go even fuller than I did. You can't really see the glitter in the picture, but it really looks like a snow globe. I also ran the bottom piece of Marina Mist through the Big Shot with Texture Plate Kit #4 to create my "waves".

Fill the treat cup, remove backing to reveal the sticky part of the treat cup and then stick completely to a window sheet. Then assemble the card as you would any other card. I am so glad there are creative people out there to come up with these things. I have heard of people putting drops of dish soap in the water too, but I like the glitter well enough I didn't try the dish soap.
