Butterfly Gala Sponging

The new Butterfly Gala stamp set has so many fun possibilities when it comes to adding color. You can use some of the images in the stamp set to add wing color, you can color with Stampin' Blends or markers or the easiest way of all - sponging!

Sponge you light color with a sponge dauber.

Add an additional color or colors with a new sponge dauber.  If you are just making one card, you can sponge from light to dark with just one dauber.  I planned to make several so I used a clean dauber for my second color.

Punch the butterfly out and get rid of the "messiness" of the sponging.

Finish your card!

Birthday Gift Convention Case

This is another convention swap that I copied as best I could with the supplies I have for my last Stamp-a-Stack. It was made by my friend, Shirley Casey, and is yet another way to use the Blossom Bouquet punch! Join us tomorrow (no Saturday class) for more all occasion cards.

Upsy Daisy Shimmer

I know people say it all the time, but this card really does look better in real life.  It shimmers!   Simply mix shimmer paint with a couple drops of reinker, and you have shimmery Melon Mambo.   Apply it directly to your stamp with a sponge dauber - so easy but such a dramatic look.

Do It Yourself Rainbow

Do you wish you had a rainbow pad once in awhile?  Here's a way to make rainbows of any color.  Start with your lightest color, and with Post-it Notes, mask off the rest of the card so you can sponge on the color.  Move your mask over as you darken the colors.  In stamp club, we tried it on glossy and on plain white cardstock.  You could also use Post-its on both sides of the section you are sponging if you want a more defined line.   I heat embossed the flowers first before sponging, and I am sorry the cute little ribbon doesn't show up well in the photo.
