Flowery Birthday Card CASE

This card is a CASE of a card swap I received at convention from Kathy Johnson.  That's one of the many great things about swapping - I had to use different stamp sets and embossing folder but was able to use the great color combination and layout she created.  I figure this is the last month for flowery cards as we are heading into fall leaves and holidays so I thought I would squeeze this one in.  Do you know how I made the leaves?  It's the wing from the Bird Builder punch!

Mixed Bunch Bouquet

My student teacher's last day was yesterday, and I wanted to give her something from the class that would be a treat and could be a keepsake too.  So this bouquet has one flower for each student, and when you turn it around, it is a bouquet of 2nd graders' smiling faces.  With a couple of Dimensionals on each side of the skewer, I attached a school picture of each of the kids, and the center flower says "Hugs and Kisses from your second grade bunch".  We gave her a few more goodies including her own set of teacher stamps, and each of the kids wrote her a letter.  It's always interesting to read their favorite memories and bits of advice.

Blossom Card

I got to play with more of my new stamps from the Occasions Mini catalog and we made this card  using Mixed Bunch at last weekend's Stamp-a-Stack.    I love how it turned out, but it took me three days.  It was just one of those cards that wasn't coming together like I wanted it to, but I knew it was almost a "good" card.  I put it to the side and went about my stamping business for a couple of days before I came back and tweaked it to end up with this version.  I pulled out a punch I hadn't used in awhile and mixed it with a new punch ( Blossom) and stamp set.
