Apple of My Eye Thank You

Today is the last day for the 2015-2016 annual catalog and for the spring occasions catalog. There is just one more night before we can order from the new catalog.  Have you made your wish list yet?  I needed to make a few thank you notes for some of my first-graders. I always try to make my thank yous somewhat teacherish, and I knew Appple of My Eye would be perfect. And as a bonus for me, it would be one last chance for me to use one of my favorite sets.

Cut Above Card

 I have had a weekend full of stamping. Three other local demonstrators and I planned a card class featuring 12 stamp sets from the occasions catalog for customers to come make either Friday or Saturday morning. It's so much fun working with other demonstrators and getting to meet new stampers.   Another reason I enjoy doing this event is that we each design three cards. I love seeing what everyone else comes up with and enjoy offering my customers cards that are a little different from my typical style.  Here is what I made with the hostess set from occasions catalog, Love You Sew.  

Venice Scrapbook

I found a great Creative Keepsakes layout to use for my last two Venice pages.  I don't do a lot of journaling normally but I wanted to record a few of the highlights of the day, and this layout was perfect!

Stained Glass Rose

Ahhh, I've been away too long. My family experienced a loss and I stepped back from stamping for awhile, but I'm back in business now.  Just this week, I went to a meeting with fellow Stampin' Up demonstrators and then met Kathy Jo and her friends at her party.  As a result, I have a lot to share with you over the next few days!

This technique is called the Stained Glass technique and I first saw it on Pinterest (don't you just love Pinterest?) from Tami White.  I demonstrated it at my demo meeting, and we'll be doing one of these cards at my next stamp class on March 24.  Let me know if you'd like to join us!

Christmas Tags!

Tomorrow night is my annual Christmas tag making class.  It's always a fun group, and it's even more fun picking a cute tag for my Christmas gifts! 

We will make this little Santa fry box first to store the tags in as we create.

Pompeii Scrapbook Layout

Here's what I have been working on this afternoon - my layout for scrapbook club this Wednesday.  I found the layout here, and thought it would be a great way to show a lot of pictures.  It was hard to narrow down all of my pictures, but this was a good representation of what we saw.  It was incredible to walk on roads and among buildings dating back to 79A.D.
