Over at Paper Players, they are hosting a challenge that is right up my alley -- a spring thank you. The rules are simple, and all we have to do is pull out spring colors and images. So I dug out this stamp set that hasn't seen much action since last summer and stamped in Strawberry Slush. I experimented with different ways to frame this image and settled on the ruffed stretch trim ribbon. I just put Snail adhesive out to the edges of the oval and worked my way around, sticking the ribbon as I went. The background needed to be simple so it wouldn't take away from the ruffle, and I settled on the Fancy Fan embossing folder for some background texture. I recently learned that Sassy Salutations is a favorite stamp set of some of my stampers, and I have to say I love how it fills in the space on this card. A few little pearls added just the right amount of bling~

Embossed Get Well
How's this for a cheery get well card? This isn't double embossing like I have been posting a lot of lately, but it starts the same way. Attach chipboard with an oval cut out to the back of an embossing folder. The section with chipboard on the back will emboss, but the center oval will remain smooth. Then you can stamp away!

Father's Day Tree
Last weekend I had a birthday Stamp-a-Stack, and with Mother's Day and Father's Day coming soon, I designed two cards that could be used for those occasions too. So here is a look at the masculine birthday card turned Father's Day card.

Note Card Gift Sets
I made these sets of 5 cards for a vendor fair I just did last night. They are note cards so a little smaller than most cards I make and fit into a cello bag just perfectly. I just love that Hello Blossoms stamp and thought the other set might be nice with a variety of greetings using the stamp from Thoughts and Prayers.

Wedding Season is Right Around the Corner
I try to do a wedding card at my stamp-a-stacks about this time every year. But then if you don't have 3 weddings coming up, you've got cards you can't use. So this card works for most any occasion and gave the ladies lots of different options.

Busy Night Last Night
I really was happy with this Easel Card I made last month so I changed colors and made a birthday card last night. It has a springy look with the pink flowers and I like the Happy Birthday at the bottom. I colored directly onto the flower stamp and then stamped off before stamping the cardstock to give it a fainter look and not overpower the message.
I also put the finishing touches on my March newsletter last night. It should have gone out early this morning. If you would like to receive a monthly update, please sign up in the box below. I include tips, samples, current specials and my upcoming events.

Lovely Lilac Thinking of You

I originally got the Thoughts & Prayers set because I liked the get well and sympathy sentiments, but I really like using this stamp for any occasion. Just like my last post, you color directly on the stamp with markers, and it's a quick and easy way to make a striking card.
Supplies: Thoughts & Prayers, and Sincere Salutations stamp sets, Lovely Lilac, Green Galore and Whisper White cardstock, Lovely Lilac and Green Galore ink.
