Keep Calm and Stamp On Free Standing Pop-up Card

Here's a free standing pop-up card we did this month in stamp club.  I had visions of doing this card when I first got my hands on this Carry On stamp set.  A lot of the ladies did the birthday version of this card which turned out pretty cute too!  When folded flat, it fits in a standard envelope, but when opened it stands on its own to display you work on the inside and out!  Click here for the tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.

Pop-Up Cherry On Top Birthday Card

How's this for a surprise card?  I loved the A Cherry on Top hostess set as soon as I saw the new catalog.  Since this was a project on my to do list, I thought the treats on the cake plate would be perfect.  I first saw on of these cards at our Spring into Stamping a few months ago. Here is Carol's tutorial.  I had the entire card made when I stamped the words on the front and messed them up.  The OCD in me came out, but I resisted the temptation to remake the entire card.  This way I can show everyone what not to do, right?

Happy 100th Birthday!

I don't actually know the 100 year old, but I am happy to make a card for a friend to give to someone who is celebrating a milestone like this one! My friend understandably wanted something a little more than our normal cards for her aunt, and I had fun planning this bigger, pop-up card. I used a retired Designer Series Paper because it goes so well with one of my favorite stamp sets, Crazy for Cupcakes. I also used some retired alphabet sets because I liked the "festiveness" of the letters, but any set you might have would do the trick. 

The inside pop-up is easy to do.  Use the 1 3/4 inch circle punch to punch a circle that you then just cut around in a spiral.  Use 2-way glue to attach the ends to the top and bottom of the card and you have a springy pop-up. 

Supplies: Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie cardstock, StazOn ink, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun markers, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, 2-way glue
