Ghosting Technique

I've been admiring this Ghosting Technique for sometime. With stamp club tomorrow night, I decided it was time to try it out.  It really works best with a stamp image that is solid (not the outlined images).  This one is kind of an airy image, but still produced the right look.  Stamp the flowers first in Whisper White craft ink and give it a little time to dry.  Then pull out that Stamp-a-ma-jig to help position the stamp (inked up with Perfect Plum) slightly off of the original stamped image. It's a dramatic look with little effort.

Happy Father's Day Card

Those of you who get the monthly My Paper Pumpkin kit delivered to your door might recognize this Happy Father's Day stamp.  I used the stamp from May's kit and the tree stamp from Serene Silhouettes.  If you don't get My Paper Pumpkin, you can click here for more information.  If you decide to join, be sure to choose me as your demonstrator.  

We did this Friday night at my latest Stamp-a-Stack, and some of the stampers did Father's Day but there were lots of birthday, thinking of you and even sympathy cards.  The My Paper Pumpkin kit also had a nice sized Happy Birthday that worked great on this card.  So thanks to My Paper Pumpkin I have some new greetings to work into my rotation!

I used the paper piercing tool to add to the card without using buttons or ribbons which are my standard go to embellishments.

Serene Silhouettes Convention Case

 

This was my third convention CASE for my recent stamp-a-stack.  I didn't actually get this swap card, but I thought it was a beautiful card.  I'm sorry I had to created it by memory, and I don't know who designed it.  So if it's yours please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.  It is perfect for so many different occasions.

Black Magic Technique Thinking of You

I had fun with this easy technique.  Stamp your image with Whisper White ink, let it dry and color it (right over the dried white ink) with colored pencils.  It's that easy.  I did get a little carried away and colored the thinking of you greeting, and if I did this card again, I would probably leave that white. 

I also got to use my new magnetic platform (page 184 in the catalog), and it worked great with my new Deco Labels Collection framelits!

Serene Silhouettes Fancy Lace Edge

This punch just retired, but we went ahead and used it in stamp club because nearly everyone has this punch at home.  But we did use a new stamp set that was just perfect for this card -Serene Silhouettes.
