Spring into Stamping

I had a wonderful day yesterday as I attended the 10th annual Spring into Stamping.  I think was my 9th.  I wasn't a demonstrator for the first one, and though I wasn't a demo for the 2nd one, I attended and signed up soon after.  It was such a great event filled with demonstrations, prizes, make-n-takes, swapping and great friends.  Here I am with Rae Anne and Marie.

And here I am with Shirley who took me to my first Spring into Stamping.

Here's a peek at my swaps.

Pryamid Card

Last weekend, I went to one of my favorite Stampin' Up! events of the year.  My very talented group of local stampers holds an annual Spring into Stamping event in Champaign.  It's a day of stamping demonstrations, swaps, make-n-takes and prizes!  I was able to drive over with my friends, Rae Anne and Jane, as well as catch up with so many of my stamping friends that I don't see often enough.

I was asked to demo and really loved this idea from Linda Gutierrez.  I made a few samples to share with the group so you'll want to come back and see the rest this week.

With 3 squares of cardstock, you can make a pyramid card that fits into a standard envelope but will stand up and create a dramatic statement for your recipient.

Another Great Swap

Here's another beautiful Easter Blossoms card from the swapping I did last weekend.  My friend, Cathy Roy, created this lovely card.  She and Mary always make such nice cards, but isn't it funny they both chose the same basic color palate for this set.  I loved each of their cards and am so glad to be a part of such a creative and talented group of stampers.  I have a pile of swaps at home and a camera full of pictures of equally great cards.

Spring into Stamping

I had a great time with my stamping friends Friday night and all day Saturday as I do every year at Spring into Stamping, and I came home with some great ideas, swaps and make-n-takes.

Here is one of the great make-n-takes we did.  My newsletter comes out Tuesday and you'll get a peek at another of the projects Julie Davison designed for us.  If you don't get my newsletter, sign up in the side bar for a monthly specials update and upcoming events newsletter.

Spring into Stamping Swap Card

I created this card for a swap this weekend at a fantastic event organized by my uplines.  Our annual Spring into Stamping is a day full of speakers, demonstrations, make-n-takes and swapping that is like our own mini-convention right here at home!  I look forward to it every year.   Yet another perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  Visit my webpage for more information about joining my team, and you can join us next time!

Rae Anne's flower demo

Rae Anne demonstrated flowers of all kinds at Spring into Stamping.  She used ribbons, punches, reinkers - you name it and I'll bet she could make it into a flower.  Her samples were just beautiful.  Here's one flower in a set of three that will look great on a wall in her home or office.

Easter Comes Early

I am so lucky to be a part of such a fantastic group of demonstrators, and I was able to attend our annual Spring into Stamping event yesterday. The day is full of main stage demonstrations, speakers, make-n-takes, and demonstration fairs. The demonstration fair is where I come in. Those of you who talk to me on a regular basis know that I have been pretty busy with something, and I might have mentioned eggs once or twice ;-) Well here it is. Decorating your Easter eggs the Stampin' Up! Way - with all Stampin' Up! products! The only thing on this table not from Stampin' Up! is the paint brush I used to brush off excess glitter. I dyed the eggs with Stampin' Up! reinkers (mixed with water and vinegar). I used Sticky Cuts, Sticky Strip, Glue Dots, and ran lots of the plain 12 x 12 Sticky Pages through my Big Shot. I also used my VersaMarker and small stamps to heat emboss. That way I could personalize the eggs. Hold those eggs with kitchen tongs when heating! And Rub-on look great on the eggs too.

I blew the eggs so that I could reuse them next year, but I don't know why this wouldn't work on hard boiled eggs or ceramic eggs too :-)  Check back for more detailed photos this week!

Spring into Stamping is just one of the great perks to being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in my group.  It's like our own little regional convention.  I would love to share more information with you if you have been thinking about becoming a demonstrator either for the business opportunity or for the personal discount.  Still on the fence?  There is a great special going on this month that you won't want to miss out on.
