Birthday Card in a Box

Phew!  I have been a stamping fool this weekend!  I have been getting ready for our annual Spring into Stamping event which is a fun day of stamping with 100 of my closest stamping friends.  Let me know if you'd like to go as my guest!  I am demonstrating slider cards during our demo fair which means I need lots of samples!  I'll be posting them soon but here's another card in a box to tide you over.

I've been a little quiet lately but it's not because I haven't been stamping.  I am getting ready for a demonstration for 100 of my stamping friends.  It's at our annual Spring into Stamping event coming up April 5 and I have been in my craft room much of the weekend, working on my ideas.  I will keep you posted and will have lots of samples to share with you soon!

Gifts of Kindness Birthday

I love the new Hardwood stamp in the occasions catalog.  It adds so much to what otherwise is a very plain card.  I had been using this color combination and wanted to make one more quick card before I put everything away.

Card in a Box Birthday

This was fun to put together.  It was so much fun, that I have a group of stampers coming next week to make one with me!  I am also going to design another card in a box for them to create.  Check back for more samples and directions.

White Chocolate Butter Bars

When I licked the spatula, I knew this was going to be a pretty good treat.  But when my stampers started snacking, I could tell by watching them that this recipe was a keeper.  Better yet, it was easy to make.  Here's a link to the recipe and a prettier picture - I didn't realize how clumpy the powder sugar was until I took this photo ;-).

Peaceful Petals

Here's one of the cards we are making tomorrow night.  This flower is so great for coloring with a blender pen, and I added the Decorative Dots embossing folder to make it a "happy" card as my friend Sue would say.

Another Great Year Birthday Card

We're expecting snow today so I have been planning for a couple of days to make this a stamping day.  To get myself going,  I decided to try the Tall & Skinny Mojo Monday 334 sketch over at Mojo Monday. It gave me a chance to use a stamp I have never used from the Another Great Year stamp set.  I knew I wanted a relatively simple image since the patterned paper made this card a little busier than some.   With the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper pack, it went together quickly.

Springy Thank You

Over at Paper Players, they are hosting a challenge that is right up my alley -- a spring thank you.  The rules are simple, and all we have to do is pull out spring colors and images.  So I dug out this stamp set that hasn't seen much action since last summer and stamped in Strawberry Slush.  I experimented with different ways to frame this image and settled on the ruffed stretch trim ribbon.  I just put Snail adhesive out to the edges of the oval and worked my way around, sticking the ribbon as I went.  The background needed to be simple so it wouldn't take away from the ruffle, and I settled on the Fancy Fan embossing folder for some background texture.  I recently learned that Sassy Salutations is a favorite stamp set of some of my stampers, and I have to say I love how it fills in the space on this card. A few little pearls added just the right amount of bling~

Decorative Dots Birthday

I combined the Sale-a-bration Decorative Dots embossing folder and the You're Lovely stamp set for this card.  I stamped it in Tangerine Tango and then used a blender pen to color it with Melon Mambo.  It gives the center of the flower an interesting, two-tone, look.
