Global Design Project #GDP074 - Perfect Mix

I've been busy creating for a stamp class Tuesday night and planning for a March event.  But once in awhile, it's fun to have someone tell me what to make.  When I'm needing a little break and to revive my creativity, I like to participate in a challenge. I knew I wanted to use my new Perfect Mix stamp set, and this Global Design Project #GDP074 was right up my alley.

I used a banner from the Lots of Labels Framelits and did some paper piecing for the mixing bowl.  After adding a little Whisper White Baker's Twine, I was done.  Quick and easy.  Thanks Global Design Team for the inspiration!

Beautiful You Reflection Technique

For anyone who has been stamping for awhile, the reflection technique has been around.  But not many stamp sets lend themselves to the technique.  I've used Lovely as a Tree several times, but now Beautiful You has changed all of that!  I started out with the umbrella lady, but then I decided to try the dancing lady.  I can't decide which one I like the best.  So Tuesday night, my stampers get to choose.

Cool Treats Holder

Doesn't this paper and stamp set just make you think about warm weather?  It's going to be record breaking warm today so I'm getting my stamping done this morning and plan some yard work for this afternoon.

We'll be making this clever little box Tuesday night at my stamp class.  The Cool Treats stamp set and product suite is about my all time favorite in this catalog!

Tasty Trucks Birthday

Oh my goodness!  Tasty Trucks was one of my two favorite Sale-A-Bration sets the first time I saw the catalog.  I chose to use that set for a demonstrator swap card that I created back in December, but this one was for last weekend's Stamp-a-Stack.  We were already using the watercolor pencils with a blender pen so I decided we should keep with the blender pen and use the stamp pads.   For anyone who had never used the blender pen, it was a great chance to learn a couple of different ways to use it.

Paper Pumpkin Valentines

Thanks to My Paper Pumpkin, I put my valentines together pretty quickly for my class last night.  I altered the set a little and left off the wooden arrows.  I've seen them tear into a handmade project pretty quickly so I knew they wouldn't be missed.
