Here's another card I made with the Blooming with Kindness stamp set after the Mr. & Mrs. card from yesterday. It's hard to see in the picture, but I embossed the card with the Framed Tulip embossing folder before stamping my flower and greeting.

More Amore Quick Valentine
The More Amore Designer Series Paper has two specialty pages of these laser cut hearts. My habit is to save these sorts of pages for something special, and I tend to hold on to them too long. But this time I decided to open my package and pull them out first. It takes a little patients to cut the hearts apart, but with careful cutting, they can all be used. I mounted it on this square tulip frame to make a cute little card. Check out this post for directions.

Happy Easter Punch Art
Here is one of our Stamp-a-Stack cards from earlier this month. It felt a little early to be making Easter cards, but it will be too late next month by the time we meet. So we are all ahead of the game with our Easter cards. This one takes a little time but it is worth it in the end. There's nothing hard about it -- it just takes some patience adhering all the little parts. Materials:
Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Baker's Twine, White Gel Pen, Basic Grey Marker
Punches:
Large Oval, Small Oval, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1/2" Circle, 1/4" handheld hole punch
The nose and teeth were cut from scraps, and I used Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze and Whisper White card stock.

Convention Swap Case
At my August Stamp-a-Stack, I planned to do 3 of my favorite convention swaps. While I came home with nearly 100 great cards, I remember seeing this color combination of Baja Breeze and Marina Mist with this flower from the Simply Soft hostess set in one of my friend's stack of swaps. So sorry to say I can't give credit to the original designer of the card. I made a couple of slight changes, but as you can see, her card was just beautiful.Saturday, April 16, 2011
Faux Mother of Pearl Wedding Card
I spent some time last week in Georgia for my good friend's wedding. I had a great time and it was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. But when I got home, it took me a few days to get back into the swing of things. I had a stamp club and a stamp-a-stack so I have plenty of projects to post for you in the next several days. Here's a Faux Mother of Pearl wedding card we did in club. I made one for Beth and Kirk but used a retired cardstock that fit her wedding colors perfectly. This one uses Baja Breeze and Marina Mist. The Tulip frame turned out to be a great choice if you notice my bouquet is all ivory tulips.

Spring into Stamping Swap Card
I created this card for a swap this weekend at a fantastic event organized by my uplines. Our annual Spring into Stamping is a day full of speakers, demonstrations, make-n-takes and swapping that is like our own mini-convention right here at home! I look forward to it every year. A Fork for Stamping?
To create a square tulip frame, start with a 4 1/8” square of cardstock. Run it through the Big Shot like you normally would. Then flip your cardstock around 90 degrees and move embossed cardstock around until lined up in already embossed areas. You can also tell by the look through the plastic. Run it back through the Big Shot half way only. Isn't that a great way to get double duty out of your Framed Tulips Embossing Folder? The bow was made using a fork - yes, you read that right, a fork! Here are the directions but you might prefer seeing it. Just Google fork bows and you should find something pretty easily. Fold ribbon in half and wrap around entire fork with tails to the right. Pull bottom ribbon around to the front and tuck down through center tines below ribbon. Wrap remaining tail around to the front and tuck down through center tines above ribbon. Tie one time in the back and pull off of fork.

Babies, Babies, Babies
It's funny that although I know the baby is coming and even an arrival date, I often am scrambling for a baby card when the time comes. So as a part of my stamp-a-stacks, I try to include baby cards at least once a year. But how do you know what to make? Well we take care of that and make one of each!

Pink Onesies Baby Card
A friend of mine just had her third baby girl so I thought this would make a cute card for the family. It uses the Level 1 hostess set, A Slice of Life, from the occasions mini catalog. It also uses the new Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder which is just perfect for a simple card like this one. Check back, we will be using this same stamp and embossing folder for baby cards this weekend at my stamp-a-stacks.
