2020 Christmas Tags

Many years ago, I started doing a Christmas tags class.  It's become a popular class and so much fun.  It usually brings a different group of stampers because we all have very different ways to wrap and tag our gifts.  I wanted to do it again this year, but I had to make a few changes since it would be a to go kit.  We normally make 2 each of 15 different tags but this year we made 3 each of 10 different tags and very little stamping.  I had tags, die cuts and ribbons precut so all my stampers had to do was assemble and stamp it with a to and from.

December to go Cards and Arrange a Wreath

I do love this Arrange a Wreath set!  I've been away from it since the summer when I worked on my presentation for my stamping friends.  But I pulled it back out for the December to go kit and fell in love with it again.

Here are a few easel cards I made with it last summer.  I used a few of the cards I made, but I wasn't ready to part with these two just yet!

Arrange a Wreath Sampler

Earlier this summer, I participated in Vacation Stamping School with my Stampin' Up! family.  Normally we gather for a day of stamping, demos, make-n-takes, swapping, speakers and prizes, but this year it was virtual.  It was a great day and I'm looking forward to the next one - virtual or in person!

I often do a demo in the demonstration fair and this year I filmed myself  and sent it off to be included in the event.  It was nice because I enjoyed watching all of the other demos that I normally don't see as I am demonstrating.

I wanted to do something from the new catalog so I chose Arrange a Wreath.  I designed a class that was actually 3 in 1.  Each person makes the same 9 wreaths but then decides how they want to finish their own project - a sampler, a frame, a plate or cards.

But I couldn't stop there!  I wanted to be sure everyone loved this set as much as I do so I made so other cards and projects too.  Be sure to check back to see more samples.

July to go Kits are Ready

I've put together a kit to make 8 cards (2 each of 4 designs) - all you need is a greeting stamp of your choice, ink and adhesive. The kit includes pre-cut card stock, Designer Series Paper, die-cuts, ribbon and envelopes so you can get right to crafting!
This class is available for porch pick up starting tomorrow for $20. This kit can be mailed with the addition of shipping costs.
**Per Stampin' Up! policy I can't provide pre-stamped images, but I designed this class with that in mind. All you need is a greeting stamp(s), a basic ink color and an adhesive of your choice. If you need stamps or ink, we can discuss the purchase of some retired ink colors and stamps to help you complete your kit, or I can make suggestions for ordering the products I used on my cards.

Christmas Tags

This is one of my favorite classes all year.  They are all like tiny little cards, and it is so much fun to play around with them.  I could keep going but I stopped at 15, and everyone made 2 of each - that's 30 tags!  I love picking just the right tag for each package and recipient.

Vacation Stamping School

Last weekend I went to Champaign to a day long gathering of stampers.  I was asked to do a demonstration in the demonstration fair, and I had a great time with the new stamp set Still Scenes.  I'll be posting closer pictures on Facebook in the days to come and sharing some of my tips and tricks.

Butterfly Gala Sponging

The new Butterfly Gala stamp set has so many fun possibilities when it comes to adding color. You can use some of the images in the stamp set to add wing color, you can color with Stampin' Blends or markers or the easiest way of all - sponging!

Sponge you light color with a sponge dauber.

Add an additional color or colors with a new sponge dauber.  If you are just making one card, you can sponge from light to dark with just one dauber.  I planned to make several so I used a clean dauber for my second color.

Punch the butterfly out and get rid of the "messiness" of the sponging.

Finish your card!

Tags and Tidings

I recently had the pleasure of creating a display with the Tags and Tidings stamp set and coordinating Christmas Tags framelit for a meeting with 100 other demonstrators.  As many of you know, I host a tags class each December so I was immediately drawn to this set when glancing through the catalog.  The beauty of this stamp is that all 16 tags cut with one crank through the Big Shot.  Here's a Stampin' Up! video if you want to see this set in action.  But I wanted to think a little more outside the box and create some bigger projects.  Stay tuned for some closer images and some hints and tips!
